Abigail Liebhart

Adlibz, aka Abi is a painter based in New York. She specializes in medium to large-scale paintings but is also experienced in drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, performance, and digital art. Through her art, Abi attempts to bridge the gap between her inner world and the tangible. Some beautiful, others grotesque—the images she creates are raw and unfiltered, based on the intense emotions and visuals that frequent her conscious. Many of her paintings include the depiction of figures in a dreamscape, using techniques like light acrylic washes over dark layers and high contrasting colors to achieve surreal effects. Much of her work uses self-portraiture as an attempt to control the lens through which she is seen as well as take the opportunity to face herself.
